Spoil yourself, a friend and/or your loved with a truly unique sensory, wholehearted and transcendent massage experience at our practice. Aromatherapy recognises the beneficial effects that essential oils can have on one's overall wellbeing. Aromatherapy massage combines the relaxing, tension relieving effects of massage with the subtle, alluring scents of essential oils. Each person receives an individualised blend of essential oils based on brief questioning before the massage starts. Our massages are unique in that we include Vibroacoustic Therapy using tuning forks with all 45 minute, 90 minute and 120 minute massages. You can learn more about vibroacoustic therapy here. If you are experiencing pain or struggling with an injury we can combine your massage with homeopathic injections (i.e. biopuncture). Please request this when you book.
Foot reflexology is a form of massage based on the premise that pressure points in the feet are connected to other specific body parts, including organs. When pressure is applied to these points, the health of the area of the body that corresponds to each point is affected. The type of reflexology we offer at our practice is extremely gentle, without painful deep pressure and is primarily a form of energetic healing.
When are aromatherapy massages and reflexology available?
All massages (including kahuna bodywork) and reflexology sessions are by appointment only. No walk-ins.
Monday to Friday slots for aromatherapy massage and reflexology start from 7.00am and are available throughout the day, with the last slot starting at 5pm. However, only 60 minute, 90 minute and 120 minute sessions are available at 7.00am and at 5pm Monday to Friday, therefore excluding 30 minute and 45 minute sessions for these time slots. Clients are welcome to book 30 minute and 45 minute aromatherapy massages between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. The same applies to all other massage and reflexology options (in other words you can book any length of massage, kahuna bodywork or reflexology between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday).
There are limited slots available for aromatherapy massage, kahuna bodywork and reflexology on Saturday mornings. Only 60 minute, 90 minute and 120 minute sessions are available on Saturday mornings. All Saturday morning sessions are by appointment only (no walk-ins) and bookings for these must be made by 5.00pm on the Friday before the session.
Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT):
Vibroacoustic therapy using tuning forks is included in all 45 minute, 90 minute and 120 minute massages (at no extra charge), unless you indicate that you would like to forego it. You can learn more about Vibroacoustic Therapy here.
Biopuncture / Homeopathic Injections:
If you are struggling with musculoskeletal inflammation, injury or pain due to tension, arthritis or tendinitis you may request to receive injections containing homeopathic remedies (e.g. Traumeel). Homeopathic injections can be administered (optionally) at the beginning of your 45 minute, 90 minute and 120 minute massage, or can be administered as part of a homeopathic consultation. The cost of these injections will be added to the cost of your massage or consultation.
Kahuna Bodywork:
Kahuna Bodywork is another type of full-body treatment, which differs from aromatherapy massage in some ways. It is often thought of as a type of massage. However, it is actually a broader holistic healing tradition originating from Hawaii, which is designed to harmonize the body, mind and spirit, while releasing physical, emotional, and energetic tension. Kahuna Bodywork is not focused on the gorgeous scents of aromatherapy oils, but it is very special in other ways. You can learn more about Kahuna Bodywork here.
