WHAT IS A NEUROTHERAPY ASSESSMENT?

Neurotherapy records brain wave activity, and then uses this information in real time to assess the functioning of your brain. Information from an assessment allows the practitioner to differentiate between various disorders that originate in the brain - such as attention deficit disorder (ADD), insomnia, anxiety, depression, epilepsy etc. Some individuals that have been diagnosed with ADD actually have an undetected sleep disorder that presents with symptoms that are subjectively interpreted as ADD by other practitioners.  A neurotherapy assessment provides an objective assessment of the brain's functioning.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A neurotherapy assessment takes approximately 2 hours to complete - 1 hour for the assessment and 1 hour for the consultation that will follow. Three electrodes are placed on different areas of your head to read the brain waves in those specific areas. Each area of the brain gives different information, as does each different brain wave frequency. From this the practitioner can detect imbalances that may be happening and how these are affecting your mood, performance and every day functioning.

TREATMENT

If imbalances are picked up, indicating a neurological disorder this can be treated using an individualised combination of homeopathy, herbs and supplements.

COST

2 Hour Assessment + Consultation: R 1000.00

Patients may submit a claim for this to their medical aid. This fee does not include the cost of medicines if prescribed.
