FACILITATION TRAINING IN THE TOOLS OF DEEP DEMOCRACY

Working with a team as facilitator, leader or participant is never quite as easy as one likes to imagine. It does not take very long before the effectiveness of the team starts to be diminished by underlying tensions and unwritten boundaries that seem to form almost instantly. Think of some of the teams you work with and meetings you attend. How good are they at the following?

  • Decision making
  • Gaining real commitment to act
  • Listening to and respecting opinions
  • Dealing with tension and conflict
  • Breaking through the restrictions that seem to be imposed by the organisation’s way of doing things

Deep Democracy offers an innovative way of dealing with the above. Attend this course and you will start to discover a different way of being in the world, a way that will give you an alternative pathway to developing not only your own full potential, but also that of the people you work with, be it individuals or teams.

Whether you are a leader, a coach, a facilitator, a consultant or simply a member of a team - Deep Democracy offers both a set of innovative tools and a world view that will enhance your effectiveness in the world across all dimensions.

At a practical level, Deep Democracy is an advanced form of facilitation. It is based on the work of psychologist and physicist, Arnold Mindell, whose concepts and principals have been demystified and adapted for laypeople by clinical psychologists Myrna Lewis and her late husband Greg.
